Volver and Norwegian painter Andreas Siqueland have developed a series of colourful flat weaves Fields & Forests, based on his full-size acrylic paintings.
The Collection is a part of a larger art project Living with It!, where the artist uses his own home as a site of investigation of future living conditions due to the effects of the climate change. In his version of the future, the Nature takes back its original habitat, that we, humans had once taken over.
The Sun design is generated from a smaller painting and is extended to a more symmetrical and intense composition. The barbs and shafts of light have affinities with German Expressionism and and can be associated with Munch´s monumental painting.
