Rolf Hansen was not a ceramicist in the traditional sense. He left to others to others. Hansen was a decorator, which he was also referred to as until he established his own company. He also designed models, so in a way he should, in a wider sense, also be referred to as a designer. If he himself had to decide, he was an artisan and a ceramicist.
