Designer Kristine Bjaadal and rug manufacturer Volver - both based in Oslo, Norway - has teamed up and made a beautiful hand tufted rug collection in wool and viscose. The collection consists of three rugs; Ono, Pli and Eon. by the Norwegian prominent designer Kristine Bjaadal.
"The Kanvas collection is inspired by drawings made on white paper, and thus my sketches were made the same way; with ink, pencil and gouache on watercolor paper. "
Eon inspired by drawings made on white paper with ink, pencil and gouache on water color paper.
The motif is an abstract composition. The rug is hand tufted with a combination of undyed natural wool, dyed wool and tencel. The surface is textured with both loop and open pile and elements are carefully 3D-sculptured.
