Hanne Friis, Sirkulasjon

The book SIRKULASJON explores the monumental textile sculptures of the Norwegian artist Hanne Friis, known for her intricate techniques of hand -folding and sewing . Layer by layer of textiles is transformed into compressed, sculptural forms - abstract, but at the same time deeply rooted in topics such as human existence, nature and society's over -consumption of natural resources.

This bilingual edition (Norwegian/English) contains insightful texts by Hanne Friis, art historian Jorunn Veiteberg and curator Guri Skuggen. Photographs by Øystein Thorvaldsen. Edited and designed by Nina Ansten.

Bound in bronze -colored metallic textile and printed on high quality silk mat, the book mirrors the artist's interaction between the monumental and the tactile.
