The Danish photographer Pernille Sandberg (b. 1994) has lived and worked in Berlin, Copenhagen and Oslo, with studies from the London College of Fashion, The University of Europe for Applied Sciences Berlin and Fatamora School of Art Photography. She works at the intersection of art photos, fashion, documentary and film.

Sandberg's photographs often bear melancholy and nostalgia, and she is especially known for her intimate portraits. She works both digitally and in the darkroom, and experiments with light, props and atmosphere to create proximity and emotional depth in her images.

Through her pictures, she invites the viewer into the universe of the portraits and encourages reflection on moods and stories. She is also involved in drug policy and actively participated in the debate on a possible new intoxication reform in Norway. In 2021, she created a walking exhibition on the topic, supported by Johan H. Andresen (Ferd).

Sandberg has had solo and group exhibitions at Grieghallen (Bergen), Shoot Gallery (Oslo), Nordic Light Festival of Photography (Kristiansund), The Hole (New York), Negar Art Gallery (Tehran), Norwegian Icons (Tokyo), Rademakers (AMSTERNEMAKERY (AMSTERNEMAKERY.

Her commercial customers include Zeiss, Joachim Trier, Nowness, Vogue UK, L'O Officiel Italy, Another Magazine, Tom Wood and Son Venïn. In 2019, she was a finalist in the Prix Picto de la Mode, Paris.
