Volver X Andreas Siqueland - Nature into Home

Norwegian artist Andreas Siqueland, in collaboration with Volver, has developed a colorful collection of flat -woven carpets - Fields & Forests . The designs are based on his comprehensive full -size acrylic paintings, where nature's movements and color play form the basis for the unique fabrics.

The collection is part of the Living With It Art project! , where Siqueland explores the book quality of the future in the face of climate change. He uses his own home as a laboratory and envisions a future where nature takes back what it once lost. Houses become part of the landscape, while wind, water and vegetation gradually take over the rooms we have built.

Siqueland and Volver started the collaboration in 2019 with three designs. In 2021, they expanded the series with four new motifs and presented them during the multimedia art exhibition Living With It! in Kristiansand Kunsthall. There they recreated the artist's home, from floor to ceiling, covered with paintings, sketches and textiles - including large rugs from Volver.

"When the water rises and the seasons no longer change, the landscape slowly takes over the red house in the countryside. The wind brings in leaves and grass, while organic matter fills the basement. Trees grow up from the roots and spread along the walls. Finally, a tissue covers meadows and forests the floor. "
