Northern was born in the studios of Northern Lighting, where a creative team has illuminated lives. Their approach unites seamless beauty and functionality, with a love for natural materials and real crafts.

By expanding the range to include furniture and interior accessories, they have found a natural arena for expressing their distinctive style on a larger scale. In his debut collection, Northern manifests simplicity in its purest form, with streamlined designs that invite to playful combinations and effortless contrasts. The use of smoked wood, dusk -inspired shades and bold silhouettes creates muted atmospheres, while subtle geometric shapes and timeless aesthetics add an elegant finesse. With a vision of the interior as a versatile and creative space, Northern creates multifunctional products that share an overall style and spirit.

Northern's creative influence extends beyond its Norwegian roots to meet modern demand for relaxed luxury and innovative style. The designs have the ability to excite and inspire, create a calm atmosphere or lay the foundation for a sense of harmony. With a capacity to transform any room into a unique experience, Northern's products not only add atmosphere, but also presents a new and fresh vision for the Nordic style.

Designer, founder and CEO of Northern, Ove Rogne, is a leading figure in lighting design. Born in the Norwegian city of Narvik, Rogne took a master's degree in economics and administration at BI Norwegian Business School before starting a career in management Consulting.

Powered by a desire to work more creatively and a vision to make lighting design a little brighter, Rogne merged with three close friends and founded Northern Lighting in 2005. The following year he designed the award -winning Oslo Wood flooring, and in 2008 he collaborated with Trond Svendgård to design the wall lamp Moo. His enthusiasm for Norwegian retro classics has revitalized the work of mid-century designers such as Birger Dahl and made their legacy relevant to today's design. As a strong supporter of young talents, Rogne has launched initiatives to help graduate designers gain industry experience. In 2013, he also established the annual Northern Lighting Student Design Award to promote young design sprouts.
