NoMy

Nomy was founded in 2020 and is an Oslo-based bioselskap that develops circular production and consumption systems. By utilizing the biointel league that is in a billion-year-old fungus evolution, Nomy converts unused resources to regenerative and scalable solutions in materials and alternative proteins.

Nomy operates at three levels:

1. Collaboration with large process industries to transform nutritious side currents into substrates for fermentation of fungal biomass - a new, high -quality sustainable resource.
2. Development of circular processes in fungal fermentation systems, using existing industrial infrastructure.
3. Production of cost -effective, natural and fully compostable products.

Mushrooms constitute a huge ecosystem with around 5 million species, where only 1 % is known to science. Mycelium - the root system of the fungus - forms a porous, stable and light structure when grown on a wood material. Nomy's Mycelium-based products have organic tactility and beautiful color play, while the production process has a minimal environmental footprint.
