Mingshu Li is a Chinese ceramic artist living in Oslo, and one of the selected artists in the Novooi exhibition Above and Below , part of the Oslo Open. She challenges traditional ceramic techniques and explores clay as a sculptural medium.
Inspired by her surroundings, she uses clay to understand her own identity and belonging. For the past three years she has participated in exhibitions both nationally and internationally.
Mingshu has a Master of Art in Medium and Material Based from the Oslo Academy of the Arts and a Bachelor of Arts in Ceramic Art and Design from the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in China.
