Sustainable design right on the doorstep
Heymat is a family -owned company from Mo i Rana in Norway, built on many years of experience from the laundry industry. The married couple Sonja Djønne and Thoralf Lian founded the company in 2015 with a desire to combine quality and innovation from industrial mats with modern Norwegian design. Since then, Heymat has become an important part of homes both in Norway and internationally, with accessibility in Europe, Asia, the United States and Canada. Made of recycled materials, Heymat's new collection of door mats combines aesthetics and environmental awareness. Since 2015, the Norwegian company Heymat has produced high quality design mats from the rough Arctic landscape. «Design kan og bør være bærekraftig,» sier Sonja Djønne, daglig leder i Heymat. "We have done our utmost to create a doormat that delivers on quality, design and sustainability."
Norwegian design, industrial quality
The Heymat+ series is designed by Kristine Five Melvær, one of Norway's foremost designers. Inspired by water, vegetation and zen gardens, they offer the three monochromatic mats a beautiful addition to any home. The decorative 3D patterns also ensure a scratch effect that effectively handles dirt and dirt. Like all Heymat's products, Heymat+ has a non-slip back of SBR rubber, which is partly made of recycled material. «Mattene er ikke bare miljøvennlige fordi de er resirkulerte, men også fordi deres høye kvalitet sikrer en lang levetid,» sier designer Kristine Five Melvær. "It's up to me to create a design that makes the customer want to use it for many years."

"The sand, water and vegetation -inspired motifs are reminiscent of the soothing effect of patterns drawn in soft sand, adding a quiet presence at your doorstep."

Design with conscience
Heymat+ is part of Heymat's strategy to make both the production and the products as environmentally friendly as possible. The process started in 2017 when the company replaced Nylon with PET, a material made of 50 % recycled plastic with improved absorbency.
