Hedvig Sommerfeldt is the artist and designer behind the pagan Jewelry. She is a metal and jewelery artist with a master's degree from the Oslo Academy of the Arts (KHiO).
In 2015, two of her works, one in pure gold and one in oxidized silver, were part of the collection of the National Museum in Norway - a recognition of her unique craftsmanship and artistic expressions.
Hedvig specializes in a hammer technique called Hollowware technique, where metal is shaped from a flat plate to a three-dimensional volume through precise hammering. The final form is reminiscent of an egg - a result of a time -consuming and physical process that almost becomes meditative. Hedvig sees its jewelry as fragments of this egg shape.
Her fascination for the physical aspect of the craft is not random. In addition to her artistic background, she is a former elite athlete in athletics and former Norwegian champion in three -stage.
