After several years as a photographer, Guri Sandvik sought a new creative direction and began to explore three -dimensional forms in clay.
For over a decade, she has developed a minimalist and sometimes architectural design language, where she plays with the dynamics between the objects and the space around them.
Her work balances between functional use objects and sculptural forms, where the craft is left as a subtle signature in the surface. With colored porcelain and terracotta, Guri Sandvik creates timeless objects that both fill a function and tell a story.
