Henrik Bjersand Sunde (b. 1992) is a Bergen-based architect and furniture designer with several years of experience in furniture production.
After returning from a work stay in Iceland, he established his own studio and at the end of 2024 he launched his first furniture series, Alva. Behind Alva is a desire to use the experience of larger commissioned works to make a nature -friendly and lasting product available for more people. To achieve this goal, the series is done in Norwegian materials, adapted to modern serial production at a carpentry in Western Norway. Each piece of furniture can be easily removed and flat packed to minimize space use during shipping.
Alva is a furniture series that mixes crafts with modern production, where each detail is intended to benefit the customer and nature. The series consists of a chair, a dining table and a bench in the linseed Norwegian pine.
